Capital Region Language Center

CRLC, celebrating the beginning of our 9th year in the Capital Region, has recently moved its Ballston Spa location to Malta.  We also have a site in Colonie.  Our two schools are conveniently located just off the Northway (route 87). Our Fall Session is just around the corner and you can join us at any time including jumping into our currently running Summer Session.

We are now offering ITALIAN classes!

Summer Camps...for children are being offered at both of our Capital Region locations.  We still have space in two of our camps: 
German, Colonie, August 16-20, 9 AM - 12 PM, ages 5-7
Spanish, Malta, August 16-20, 10 AM - 1 PM, ages 5-7

Year-round Program for adults or children...
Classes are offered in:  Arabic, Chinese, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), French, German, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish

  • Group and private classes
  • Children and adults
  • Beginning through advanced
  • Enrichment and tutoring
  • On-site classes for schools and businesses

Our group class size of three to six students allows for an exceptional amount of conversation practice after just the first 90 minutes of class!

Please note our name change from Las Mariposas Spanish School / Language Center (2002 - 2008).  We are under the same ownership and continue to offer quality programming for children and adults.  We had to change our name to fit our new image - 10 languages instead of just Spanish!

Our Colonie location is right off of Wolf Rd. and just a 5 minute walk from The Crossings.  You can park once and go for a walk, run or a bike ride from our location.

The number of classes per session may vary for the adult and children's program. Children's classes typically meet without interruption regardless of your public school's calendar, however they do not meet during the school vacation weeks.  Please ask about the exact number of classes when you call to register.

Summer Camps for Children
For years CRLC has offered 15 hours of language in a week for children.  This year, see what we have available in Spanish and German.

After 8 years in Ballston Spa, we have just relocated to Exit 12 in Malta.  Thanks Ballston Spa for giving us our solid start!

Already have proficiency in another language?   Join any of our existing classes after requesting a placement test via email.
