French Teachers
Olivia Barone
Olivia is currently pursuing a PhD Program in French Studies with an emphasis on linguistics and language acquisition at the University at Albany. She has just completed all of her course work for her PhD and she hopes to be back, teaching with CRLC, at both of our locations. She has a B.A. in French Education as well as a M.A. in Holistic Education from SUNY Fredonia. She has a permanent New York State certification in French grades 6-12. Olivia was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She teaches group classes and private lessons to students all grades and specializes in integrating interactive activities to suit individual learning styles and goals.
Lauren Canales
Lauren, a native French speaker, is back to teaching with CRLC after a three year hiatus. She has taught French for a variety of ages in and around the Capital Region of NY.
Kate Crosby
Kate is a NYS certified French teacher currently teaching for the South Colonie School District. She loves everything about French and teaching the language. She will be offering classes to children and adults at CRLC's two locations, Colonie and Malta.
Armelle Lefebvre
Armelle, a native of France, is available primarily at our Malta location for children's and adult classes. She was an IBM programmer for her first career and able to teach business French specific to computers for corporations.
Helene Pafundi
Helene, a native of France, is a college instructor who is also offering classes at both of CRLC's locations. With years of teaching experience she has mastered teaching all levels of French, for high schoolers and adults.
Summer Camps for Children
For years CRLC has offered 15 hours of language in a week for children.
