German TeachersDorothea MartinDorothea holds a Bachelor Degree in Literary, Cultural and Media Studies with a minor in Spanish from Siegen University, Germany. Doro spent five months in Maynooth, Ireland studying abroad during her undergraduate studies. Her passion for languages deepened during a three month work and travel experience in Peru, S.A. In 2009 Doro finished her degree for teaching 'German as a foreign language' from Bonn University, Germany and she enjoyed teaching international students in a German language center. Doro will be available to teach her native language to children and adults in both CRLC locations. Johanna SophiaJohanna grew up in Germany in a Waldorf environment with German, English and French, studied at various universities in Germany, France, and finally at Columbia University, New York. She taught German for 7 years at Columbia University and for 2 years at SIT, NJ while completing her 3 theses in Film. She also holds a degree in Waldorf Education from Germany with a Minor in French. She has taught children and students of all ages, young adults and teachers in general subjects, music, dance, film, acting, directing, writing, and languages as well as the art of language-teaching in Germany, France, Zimbabwe, Romania, the US, Jamaica, and Namibia. Meike WiesenbergMeike is a native German speaker from Koeln, Germany, who moved to the United States in 1983. She holds a BA in English with a minor in French from Dickinson College, and she also received a MA in German Literature from Tufts University. She has taught German at the Boston Language Institute as well as at Tabor Academy, a boarding school in Marion, MA. After spending multiple years working in college admissions for Carnegie Mellon University and Skidmore College, she returned to teaching German as part of an enrichment program at Schuylerville Elementary School in Schuylerville, NY.
